The GT Nexus network of partners and the data that is exchanged between them can be used to power customers' in-house applications. These can be ERP, supply chain or warehouse management systems or legacy applications. Customers run these systems within their firewalls but use the GT Nexus Network to connect to their partners. That allows customers to rely on one connection to the GT Nexus Network to receive data from or send data to all their partners. GT Nexus standardizes, translates, maps and cleanses the data to meet each partners' specific formats and requirements. GT Nexus supports standard formats like EDI (ANSI or EDIFACT) and XML. Or customers can use industry standard Web Services to "embed" data and functionality from the GT Nexus Network into their applications.
