Consumers want supply chain visibility and performance or they will switch brands
As Amazon continues to raise the supply chain performance bar across industries, we partnered with YouGov to see where consumer expectations lie. A broad sample of more than 5,000 individuals across the US, France, Germany, and the UK were asked about their expectations and 78% of the respondents told us they expect to receive some level of supply chain visibility when waiting for a purchase to be delivered or available, or they will switch brands.
This is not just a retail issue. Respondents indicated they would switch to a different brand across multiple product categories including household goods, electronics, and furniture. Supply chain innovation and transformation is evolving from an operational necessity to a brand imperative.
